Sixteen million men and women fought in World War II. There are about one million surviving veterans in the United Sates. This means we are losing WWII veterans at a rate of about 700 every day. We’re in a race against time.
This is the focus of Honor Flight Network and the documentary film, “Honor Flight” which tells the story of how this nonprofit organization is striving to fly all WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the World War II memorial. The film focuses on the Wisconsin Honor Flight Network hub that is making this happen for local vets.
With the help of local sponsors, “Honor Flight” will make its Michigan premiere on April 27 at Riviera Theatre in Three Rivers. Joining us at the debut will be veterans of all military branches, state lawmakers and the producers of the film.
The film will also be shown on these dates at these area locations:
April 29: Celebration Cinema, Portage
May 1: West Columbia 7, Battle Creek
Pre-sale tickets may be purchased at www.honorflightthemovie.com/see-the-film. WWII Vets may claim their free ticket online, by contacting their local American Legion or V.F.W. or the day of the show at VIP Check In.
