About April

Purchasing a home is exciting, but also can be very stressful! I am here to help ease that stress and to hopefully make the lending experience as smooth as possible. I always tell my clients to expect turbulence, however, a crash is very rare! As your loan officer, you can count on me to be prepared for the unexpected,  offer competitive rates/costs, share my knowledge and most importantly,  communicate with you through every step of the loan process. You and your Realtor will love the personal service you not only get with me, but our exceptional team as well. Our team does their best to go above and beyond expectations - we aim to offer you a great experience!

I've been in the mortgage industry over 15 years, starting out as a loan processor. I am now the Branch Manager at Amerifirst and close over 100 home loan purchases a year. The company I represent, Amerifirst Home Mortgage, is a Michigan owned mortgage bank specializing in residential mortgage loans. We offer a flexible line of loan products - 203(k) renovation, Fannie Mae HomeStyle, FHA,  USDA Rural Development, VA (veterans) and conventional loans. We fund, service and underwrite nearly all of our loans.

On a personal note, I graduated from Michigan State University in 1999 with a bachelor in business. I live in Fort Gratiot, MI, with my husband Mark, who is also a Loan Originator, Eloise my sassy 9-year-old; Luca, my momma's boy and Gabby, our teenager, who attends MSU.
