Amerifirst Named Top Producing MSHDA Lender for 2020

Michigan State Housing Development Authority recognizes Amerifirst for seventh straight year

KALAMAZOO, MI (February 12, 2021) - Amerifirst Home Mortgage received recognition this week as a top producing lender for 2020 by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).

This marks the seventh consecutive year that MSHDA has recognized the community mortgage lender for its achievements in helping homebuyers overcome down payment obstacles and obtain the dream of homeownership. Amerifirst partners with MSHDA to provide low-interest home loans, payment assistance programs, and federal tax credits to eligible Michigan residents.

“Lots of people don’t have extra money in the bank,” said Brian Hervey, an Amerifirst loan officer in Gaylord and a top producing loan officer for MSHDA. “This program opens a lot of doors for buyers who otherwise don’t have the ability to save for a down payment or closing costs.”

The impact you had was immeasurable.”
