Troy Gahm takes pride in getting to know his clients beyond their financial situation. It’s important to him to get to know more about their background and their story and what prompts them to purchase a new home. He cares about the people behind the facts.
Troy began his career in the mortgage industry at a young age. In 2010, he began working at Amerifirst Home Mortgage in the origination and secondary sectors. During this time, he worked closely with Loan Officers and was able to become familiar with and really understand the business. He liked the mortgage industry but witnessed several practices he knew he wanted to change. After taking a break from the business to attend Alma College, Troy graduated in 2016 with a major in Finance. He then opened his own branch in Traverse City, Michigan, with his assistant Brianne Andersson. Their focus is on providing excellent customer service, sound guidance and hiring a top-notch support team that shares their same values. Adhering to these philosophies propelled their business to success in the Traverse City area; as their reputation grew, so did their client base.
Amerifirst shares the same vision of common-sense lending and understands the importance of treating their clients like people; that’s why Amerifirst is a perfect fit for Troy and his team. In the state of Michigan alone, Amerifirst employs over 400 full-time team members.
A graduate of Gaylord High School and Alma College, Troy has lived in Northern Michigan for over 25 years and really knows and understands the area. In addition to being an active real estate investor, he’s an avid sports fan and enjoys coaching local sports teams, as well as golfing, fishing and playing cards.
When you work with Troy, he commits to three things: communicating with you throughout the process, ensuring your documents are accurate, and closing on time!
